Gym Equipment Assembly

Treadmills, multi-gyms, power racks, cross trainers and full home gyms assembled safely and correctly. 5-star Google rated. £1 million public liability insurance. 12-month workmanship guarantee. 7 days a week.

A flat-pack bookcase that goes together slightly wrong is annoying. A multi-gym or power rack that goes together slightly wrong is dangerous. Gym equipment carries real load — weight stacks, barbells, your own body weight at speed on a treadmill belt — so the bolts have to be at the right tension and the frame has to be genuinely stable, not just “looks fine.” Magic Flat Pack assembles home and commercial gym equipment across Brighton & Hove, Worthing, Shoreham, Lancing, Bognor Regis, Horsham, Crawley, Chichester and the surrounding Sussex area. We turn up with the right tools, build it properly, check every load-bearing fixing, and position the finished machine exactly where you want it.

Gym equipment we assemble

We assemble fitness equipment from every brand and retailer — including the heavier home-gym names like Rogue, Mirafit, JTX, Bowflex, NordicTrack, Body Power and the equipment sold through Amazon, Argos, Decathlon, Gym Equipment UK and Wayfair.

  • Treadmills — folding and non-folding, including the heavy motorised units that arrive in one enormous box and need two people.
  • Multi-gyms and home gym stations — cable systems, weight-stack machines, functional trainers. These are the most involved jobs and the ones most worth handing to a professional.
  • Power racks, squat racks and half racks — where bolt tension and levelling genuinely matter for safety under load.
  • Cross trainers and ellipticals.
  • Exercise bikes — upright, recumbent, spin and air bikes.
  • Rowing machines.
  • Weight benches, smith machines and cable crossovers.
  • Wall-mounted and free-standing pull-up rigs, including wall-anchored bars where fixing into the right substrate is critical.

Why gym equipment is worth assembling professionally

Furniture just has to look right. Gym equipment has to stay safe under repeated heavy load, and that’s a different job.

Bolt tension under load. A weight-stack machine or power rack has dozens of structural bolts. Too loose and the frame develops play that gets worse every session; over-tightened and you can strip threads or crack a casting. There’s a correct torque for each joint, and getting it right is the difference between equipment that lasts years and equipment that wobbles within a month.

Stability and levelling. A treadmill or rack that isn’t level rocks under use — at best it’s noisy and annoying, at worst it’s a safety issue when you’re moving at speed or lifting overhead. We level everything properly, including on the uneven concrete you often get in a garage gym.

Cable routing and calibration. Multi-gyms and functional trainers rely on cables being routed and tensioned correctly. Get it wrong and the machine feels notchy, wears the cables prematurely, or simply doesn’t move smoothly. We set these up to run properly from day one.

Getting it in the right place first time. Built treadmills and multi-gyms are extremely heavy and a nightmare to move once assembled. We position the machine exactly where you want it before final tightening, so you’re not trying to shuffle 120kg of steel across the room afterwards.

Wall anchoring. Pull-up bars and wall-mounted rigs have to go into something that’ll actually hold a person’s weight. We make sure fixings go into solid substrate, not just plasterboard.

Home gyms, garage gyms and commercial fit-outs

Most of what we do is home and garage gyms across Sussex — the single treadmill in the spare room, or a full garage setup with a rack, bench and cable machine. We also assemble for commercial clients: small studios, PT gyms, office wellness rooms, schools and hotels. For a multi-item commercial fit-out we can do the whole room in a single visit and lay it out sensibly for safe use and space.

How much does it cost and how long does it take?

We quote a fixed price per job rather than charging by the hour — so a tricky multi-gym that takes longer than expected costs you the same agreed price, with no call-out fee.

Time depends entirely on the machine. A simple exercise bike or folding treadmill is often well under an hour. A motorised treadmill or weight bench sits in the middle. A full multi-gym, cable crossover or power rack is the big one — typically a couple of hours or more, and often a two-person job because of the weight. Send us the product name, a photo, or a link to the retailer’s page along with your postcode, and we’ll come back with an exact fixed price, usually within the hour.

FAQs

How much does it cost to assemble gym equipment?

We charge a fixed price per job with no call-out fee, so there are no hourly surprises. A simple exercise bike or folding treadmill is a low-cost, quick visit; a full multi-gym, power rack or cable crossover costs more as it’s a longer, often two-person job. Send us the product details and your postcode for an exact price, usually within the hour.

How long does it take to assemble a multi-gym or treadmill?

A folding treadmill or exercise bike is often under an hour. A motorised treadmill or weight bench takes a little longer. A full multi-gym, power rack or cable machine typically takes a couple of hours or more and is usually a two-person job because of the weight. We do it in a single visit.

Do you assemble equipment from Amazon, Argos and the home-gym brands?

Yes — we assemble fitness equipment from every retailer and brand, including Amazon, Argos, Decathlon, Mirafit, JTX, NordicTrack, Bowflex, Body Power and Rogue. If it arrived in a box with fixings, we can build it.

Can you assemble a power rack or wall-mounted pull-up bar safely?

Yes, and this is exactly where a professional is worth it. We torque structural bolts correctly, level the rack so it’s stable under load, and make sure wall-mounted bars and rigs are fixed into solid substrate that will safely hold a person’s weight.

Can you position the equipment where I want it?

Yes — and we do this before final tightening. Assembled treadmills and multi-gyms are very heavy and awkward to move afterwards, so we get them in the right spot first time, including in garage gyms.

Can you assemble a commercial gym or studio?

Yes. We assemble for PT studios, small commercial gyms, office wellness rooms, schools and hotels, and can fit out a whole room in a single visit with a sensible, safe layout.

Do you cover Brighton, Worthing and the rest of Sussex?

Yes — Brighton & Hove, Worthing, Shoreham, Lancing, Bognor Regis, Horsham, Crawley, Chichester and the surrounding towns are our main area, with the wider Sussex region covered depending on the job.
